Safety & Health

Precautions

Vapor may ignite explosively and cause flash fire if they contact an ignition source. Vapors may settle in low-lying areas or travel long distances to an ignition source. Ensure industrial ventilation systems are on and functioning properly, or use sufficient general dilution ventilation to maintain vapor concentrations below recommended exposure limits. Keep away from heat, spark, or open flame, including pilot lights, lighters, or electric switches. Disconnect all gas or electrical appliances, e.g., furnaces, heaters, power tools, until all vapors have been cleared from the area. Static charges can accumulate during shipping, unloading, pouring, or conveying. Ground and bond container, receiving equipment and personnel before transferring material. Do not generate static sparks (such as by walking on carpet, etc.). Keep container closed during and after use. Empty container may contain vapors - do not cut, drill, grind or weld on or near this container.
