H.B. Fuller HMC-7RC

H.B. Fuller HMC-7RC is a hot-applied butyl rubber-based adhesive and sealant that bonds to various substrates and creates a permanent seal against moisture, dust, and air intrusion. It is extremely resistant to both interior and exterior environmental conditions and has excellent adhesion to glass, EPDM, and PVC.

Typical Applications

HMC-7RC is typically used for sealing fixed window modules, door water-deflectors, windshield reveal moldings, and as a hot applied gasket. It can also be used as a temporary adhesive and assembly aid to bond lightweight materials prior to final assembly

General Instructions

HMC-7RC can be processed with standard hot melt pumping equipment at a temperature of 121°C to 150°C (250°F to 300°F).

Clean Up: Let material cool to room temperature and remove by pulling rapidly from the substrate. Residual traces can be removed with an aliphatic solvent (mineral spirits) or a 50/50 alcohol/water solution.
