Swift®bond 2800 PR has been developed for the production of headliners made of rigid preformed substrate, such as semi-rigid PU foam, with textiles and back foamed textile.
- Application Information
Application method Heated rollers coating machine
Bonding process By pressure and heat. One or two ways.
Coating weight Approx. 40 - 70 g/m2 wet.
Curing agent Water mist, approx. 20 - 30 g/m2.
Open time Approx. 60 – 80 minutes (20°C and 50% RH)
Sealing Conditions Approx. 30 seconds at 130°C
- The product is applied by rollers, heated at 50 - 60°C.
- Coating weights for guidance could be 50 - 60 g/m2 for 100 g/m2 of glass fiber.
- For curing the adhesive, water-mist must be sprayed onto the glue line.
- For each 50 g/m2 of glue, 30 g/m2 of water is required.
- The sandwich is introduced in a double heated press for 25 - 35 seconds at 125 - 135°C.
- Once hardened , the adhesive provides the headliner with a good stiffness.
- Cleaning Information
swift®clean 4100 before curing , after that, It is only possible by mechanical means or especial solvents like swift®clean 2002.
