Product Application
  • Pre-wash surfaces with a damp cloth using MEK or Acetone.
  • Allow to dry for 5 minutes minimum.
  • Mix LA 4009EU with the appropriate amount of accelerator (ACC4009 or CAT UR) and mix until uniform. The catalyzed system has a pot life of eight hours.
  • Apply 2-3 liberal coats of adhesive to the surfaces to be bonded, allowing 5-10 minutes drying time between coats.
  • Fifteen minutes after application of the last coat, combine the surfaces with one of the following methods:
  • With a damp cloth of MEK, swab both surfaces to be mated.
  • Allow the excess solvent to “flash off” (approximately 15-30 seconds).
  • Join the surfaces when aggressively tacky and apply pressure with a hand roller.
  • The tack or open time will depend upon the thickness of the dry film and the quantity of solvent applied to the film for reactivation.
