Protective Coatings

Foster® 40-30™ Fungicidal Protective Coating is a low-odor, fast-setting, water-based surfacing material specifically crafted for field or shop application to faced or unfaced fiberglass duct liner, fiberglass duct board insulation, or galvanized surfaces. This formulation is highly effective at preventing the growth of mold and odor-causing bacteria on its surface for an extended period of time.

HydroArmor® 7755 is a sprayable latex coating designed for use on aluminum, fiberglass, cold-rolled steel, galvanized steel, and most metal primers. HydroArmor® 7755 is formulated to give very good corrosion protection when applied as thinly as 20 mils wet. This low viscosity, sag-resistant coating can be easily sprayed onto exposed underbody areas and into restricted areas such as tubing and "hidden" areas accessible only with spray wands. Wet film builds of 30 mils or more can be applied without runs, drips, or sags.

Foster® 40-20™ Fungicidal Protective Coating is a polyacrylate copolymer emulsion designed for long-term fungicidal effectiveness that remains active even as it ages. This formulation is highly effective at inhibiting the growth of mold and odor-causing bacteria on its surface. It offers a resilient, elastic, and decorative finish that accommodates movement without developing crevices where bacteria can lodge.

Foster® 40-30C Protective Coating is a low-odor, fast-setting, water-based surfacing material intended for field or shop application to faced or unfaced fiberglass duct liner, fiberglass duct board insulation, or galvanized surfaces. Its low viscosity makes it suitable for application with a wide range of spray equipment currently available on the market.

Foster® Chil-Seal® CP-137 Protective Coating is a white, fire-resistive coating known for its excellent adhesive properties. It can be applied with ease using brushes, forming a robust film on surfaces like glass cloth or canvas. Importantly, it is safe to use as it does not harm plastic foams or other adhesives, and both brushes and tools can be easily cleaned with water.

Foster® Monolar® Mastic 60-91 is a durable and flexible elastomeric finish specially formulated to protect outdoor thermal insulation. This coating contains chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber. It serves as an effective vapor retardant for low-temperature insulation applications on tanks, pipelines, vessels, ductwork, and fittings.

Advantra® Earthic™ 9441 water-based barrier coating is for paper coaters and packaging makers who want to improve recyclability of paperboard packaging by transitioning from polyethylene to water-based coatings while achieving Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) as similar to polyethylene as possible.

Childers® Chil-Lastic™ CP-79 Sealant and Coating is a versatile, high-temperature sealant and coating applied by trowel over various thermal insulations, except polystyrene. This asphalt-based coating creates a tough, durable, heavy film and can withstand elevated temperatures. Before putting hot lines, vessels, or tanks into operation, they should be cured at ambient temperature with proper ventilation to prevent the potential boiling out of the residual solvent.

Childers® Chil-Brate™ CP-25 is a water-based, fire-retardant, fibrated, asphalt-emulsion, weather barrier coating designed for applications over insulations on above-ground installations that operate under moderate to high-temperature conditions. This coating is "breathing," allowing vapors under pressure to pass through it. Once dry, the film becomes tough and durable, offering protection against atmospheric corrosives, chemical liquids, and fumes.

Foster® Fire Resistive C.I. Mastic™ 65-05 is a robust, high-solids mastic designed to function as both a vapor retarder and weather barrier for outdoor thermal insulation applications. This mastic offers excellent weather and fire resistance, making it a suitable alternative to traditional asphalt cutback mastics.

Childers® Chil-Lag® CP-52 Lagging Adhesive / Coating is a white, water-based formula designed for easy and smooth brushing. It effectively bonds and forms a durable film when used with glass or canvas lagging cloth. When applied over insulation, it acts as a protective coating and helps prevent the release of fibers from bare fibrous insulation.
