Water-Based Sealants

Foster® 40-30™ Fungicidal Protective Coating is a low-odor, fast-setting, water-based surfacing material specifically crafted for field or shop application to faced or unfaced fiberglass duct liner, fiberglass duct board insulation, or galvanized surfaces. This formulation is highly effective at preventing the growth of mold and odor-causing bacteria on its surface for an extended period of time.

Foster® 40-30C Protective Coating is a low-odor, fast-setting, water-based surfacing material intended for field or shop application to faced or unfaced fiberglass duct liner, fiberglass duct board insulation, or galvanized surfaces. Its low viscosity makes it suitable for application with a wide range of spray equipment currently available on the market.

Foster® FOAMSEAL™ 30-45N SEALANT is a gray vapor barrier sealant formulated for use with rigid thermal insulation, including polystyrene foam. This product maintains flexibility in joints and does not shrink or crack through repeated cycles of high and low temperatures.

Foster® Vapor-Safe® Mastic 30-90 is a high-solids, water-based mastic with fire-resistant properties and flexibility. It serves as a vapor retarder finish for various thermal insulation types, including polystyrene foam. This mastic can be applied over dry concrete and finishing cement surfaces.

Childers® Chil-Lag® CP-52 Lagging Adhesive / Coating is a white, water-based formula designed for easy and smooth brushing. It effectively bonds and forms a durable film when used with glass or canvas lagging cloth. When applied over insulation, it acts as a protective coating and helps prevent the release of fibers from bare fibrous insulation.

Childers® CP-147 HVAC Duct Sealant is a cost effective, water-based sealant that meets UL 181B-M standards. It comes in a unique thixotropic consistency, making it suitable for easy application using various methods, such as brush, glove, trowel, or power extrusion.

Foster® Vapor-Safe® Coating 30-80 is a water-based, fire-resistant, flexible, high-solids vapor retarder finish suitable for various types of thermal insulation, including polystyrene foam. It can be applied to dry concrete and finished cement surfaces. This coating is formulated for both indoor and light-duty commercial outdoor use, featuring UV resistance. It has a mild, latex "paint-type" odor and is intended for use over insulation on pipes, vessels, ducts, and equipment operating at cryogenic to ambient temperatures.

Foster® Air-FAS™ Duct Sealant 32-18 is an economical, water-based sealant designed for use on low, medium, and high-velocity ducts. It is UL-181 B-M listed, ensuring its compliance with industry standards. This non-fibrate sealant forms a flexible and durable seal to prevent air leakage. It is provided in a special thixotropic consistency, making it easy to apply using various methods such as a brush, glove, trowel, or power extrusion.

Foster® Safetee™ Duct Sealant 32-17 is a fire-resistive, fibrated, water-based sealant suitable for both indoor and outdoor use as a vapor barrier for low, medium, and high-velocity heating and air conditioning ducts. This versatile sealant serves as a strong and flexible adhesive and sealant, creating a robust barrier against air leakage. It can be applied with or without reinforcing tape or membrane, and for duct system rigidity, mechanical fasteners of the standard type and quantity are necessary.

Foster® Flextra® Sealant 95-50 is a single-component sealant primarily composed of butyl rubber. It serves as a vapor barrier sealant, typically applied in the joints of various insulation materials, including cellular glass, polyisocyanurate (PIR), urethane, and phenolic foam board stock insulations. This sealant maintains its soft and flexible properties, safeguarding insulation from damage caused by thermal cycling across a wide temperature range.

Foster® Weatherite™ Mastic 36-10 is a water-based weather barrier mastic suitable for various applications over most thermal insulations, including polystyrene. This mastic offers excellent brush, trowel, and spray properties, is non-flammable when wet, and has a mild odor during application.

Foster® Protektor® Sealant 32-22 is a single-component encapsulation coating designed for the abatement of asbestos fiber fallout, using the retention method. This sealant is formulated to penetrate deeply into asbestos-containing materials and, upon drying, transforms into a sturdy, lightweight surface that is resistant to damage. It serves as a crucial tool for effectively containing and stabilizing asbestos materials, reducing the risk of fiber release and ensuring safer environments.

Foster® 32-16 Fiber-FAS™ Duct Sealant is a fire-resistant, fibrated, water-based sealant designed for use in heating and air conditioning ducts. It serves as both an adhesive and sealant, creating a durable seal against air leakage. This versatile product can be used with or without a reinforcing membrane.

Childers® Chil-Duct™ CP-148 Sealant/Mastic is a fibrated water-based duct sealant and mastic designed for all heating, ventilating, and air conditioning duct systems. It can be easily applied with a brush and does not drip or sag during application. Once dry, it creates a durable, flexible, UV- and water-resistant air seal.

Childers® Chil-Tuff™ CP-181 HVAC Duct Sealant is a fire-resistant, fibrates, water-based duct sealant and mastic designed for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning duct systems. This easily applicable sealant, applied with a brush, maintains its integrity without dripping or sagging. Once dry, it creates a durable, flexible, UV- and water-resistant air seal, enhancing the efficiency and performance of HVAC systems.
