Swift®tak 5730 is a water-based adhesive designed for paper straw manufacturing. It has been s[ecifically developed for applications where good water resistance of the final bond is required. This adhesive boasts good water resistance and wet tack, making it suitable for use in moist environments. Its short open time allows for quick and efficient production processes, while excellent machinability further increases productivity.

  • Suitable for use through standard application systems such as semi contact nozzle, slot nozzle, wheel and disk systems.
  • Paper straw production using open pot with roller and scraper system.
  • Cleaning Instructions: Whenever possible, adhesive residues should be washed off with cold water before it dries. Removal of dried adhesive may prove more difficult and will require warm soap water or with mechanically scratch.
Approved Substrates

Paper sheet 100 – 120 g/m2, paper sheet 60 g/m2, with or without wet strength treatment. Before use, suitable tests are necessary.

Storage Information

Clean and dry conditions above +5°C and below +35°C. The adhesive pail or container must be kept hermetically closed to prevent air entry during storage. Once the container has been opened, ensure the lid is always replaced and the container kept closed during use.
