Histoacryl® Flexible (1051260-P) is a topical skin adhesive designed for closing lacerations and surgical incisions. It provides a microbial barrier for 7 days when the adhesive film remains intact. The composition of Histoacryl® Flexible (1051260-P) includes n-butyl 2-cyanoacrylate with plasticizers. It combines flexibility, strength, and fast polymerization times. It is indicated for holding closed clean surgical incisions and cleansed trauma, including lacerations.

Open: Open the package and take out the Histoacryl Tip.

Prepare applicator tip**: Open the ampoule by twisting off the ribbed tip. Attach the Histoacryl Tip to opened ampoule

Apply: Apply the glue in a thin layer to the approximated wound edges and hold in position for 60 seconds.

Microbial Barrier

In vitro studies have shown that Histoacryl Flexible acts as a barrier to microbial penetration as long as the adhesive film remains intact.*

* Histoacryl Flexible inhibits the growth of Staphyloccus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococcus faecium, Brevundimonas dimuta and Candida albicans for up to 7 days on inoculated agar plates.
