Swift®therm Advantage 8855 is a hot melt adhesive that has been formulated as a specialty grade for use in side gluing, end papering, and case making applications. It boasts excellent pot stability with an extremely low odor, making it an ideal choice for manufacturing processes where odor can be an issue. This adhesive provides excellent adhesion, superior esthetics, and a transparent glue film, ensuring a clean finished product. Additionally, it offers exceptional cold and high heat resistance, ensuring a strong bond between substrates. However, it should be noted that this adhesive has an exceptionally low mileage.

Application Instructions
  • Application temperature: 160°C – 180°C, according to the operating conditions.
  • Can be applied by vertical type roller applicators as well as slot nozzle and jetting type equipment. In case making it can be applied on the Kolbus DA 270 type machine.
  • Note: Due to the use of low-density materials, this product is not compatible with standard side adhesives. Before use, drain down pot and hose of old adhesive and purge out with new adhesive.
  • Cleaning Instructions: Please contact your local Sales Office for available cleaning solutions.

  • Most cover-based materials found in the Graphic Arts industry.
  • It is important to ensure that the desired level of adhesion is obtained on the necessary substrates, including long term tests.
