Application Instructions
  • Apply with rollers. This product can be processed on all perfect binding units at slow, medium, and high speeds.
  • Recommended Processing temperatures
    1. Typical Operating Temperatures: 160°C – 180°C
    2. Pre-melters: 150°C maximum, ensuring desired melt rate achieved
    3. Hoses: 160°C – 180°C
  • One-Shot System
    1. Pre-melter: 150°C maximum
    2. Glue Pot: 160°C – 180°C
  • Two-Shot System
    1. Primer: 170°C – 180°C on the rollers
    2. Main Glue: 160°C – 180°C on the rollers
  • Spinner: Reverse spinner +10°C to +20°C above tank temperature, ensure it is free of excess adhesive, char and that the scraper is set tight. (First Tank should be hotter than second tank to increase wet out and filling of spine preparation, second tank lower to give more control of the main glue film especially at higher speed. On difficult papers or slower speeds an increase in application temperature maybe beneficial.)
  • Note: Due to the use of low-density materials this product is not compatible with standard spine adhesives. Before use, drain down pot and hose of old adhesive and purge out with new adhesive.
  • Cleaning Instructions: Please contact your local Sales Office for available cleaning solutions.
Approved Substrates
  • Most paper type materials found in the Graphic Arts industry.
  • It is important to ensure that the desired level of adhesion is obtained on the necessary substrates, including long term tests.
