Surface preparation

All surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from frost, grease, and loose materials.

When cleaning contaminated substrates, HS Butyl recommends using propan-2-ol (IPA) and allowing it to dry before applying the butyl tape.
Application

Apply directly from the reel, removing the backing paper in short lengths.

Keep the product taut or slightly stretched while wrapping to ensure a good seal.

HS Butyl 2788 is supplied as a preformed strip with a siliconised release paper. A wide range of dimensions can be supplied. Product dimensions will determine the number of rolls per carton.
