HS Butyl 0361 Water Tank Tape is a high-performance butyl tape laminated with a hard closed-cell PVC foam backing. It has been designed for sealing flange joints in GRP sectional water tanks, up to a maximum tank height of 4 metres. The tape is conformable, easy to use, offers excellent adhesion to multiple substrates, and provides a ready-to-use solution for various sealing applications where durability and effective bonding are required.

Application Instructions

Surface preparation

  • All surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from frost, grease, and loose materials.
  • When cleaning contaminated substrates, HS Butyl recommends using propan-2-ol (IPA) and allowing it to dry before applying the butyl tape.

Application

  • Apply directly from the reel onto one surface and press along its entire length to ensure good initial adhesion.
  • Remove the backing paper, position the other surface onto the butyl tape, and push firmly to seal across the joint.
