Typical Applications

Additive for starch glue formulations. Usable for starches based on maize, wheat, and pea.

Suitable Substrates

Typical paper qualities used in the corrugating industry.

Application Instructions

This additive is a part of the starch glue formulation and will replace the borax powder in the same position. Normally it will be added by an automatic dosing system by calculated formula. According to the whole amount of the starch glue 0,3 to 0,6% is sufficient.

Remaining starch glue can be handled like the normal glue. The glue viscosity and gel point will stay similar.

Own tests according to internal processing standards are important.

This additive is to be used as:

  • 1,0 kg WB 6364 corresponds to 1 kg borax decahydrate
  • 1,4 kg WB 6364 corresponds to 1 kg borax pentahydrate
  • 1,6 kg WB 6364 corresponds to 1 kg boric acid

Cleaning Instructions

Adhesive residues should be cleaned with cold water before they dry.
