Adecol® CA-9018 adhesive is made from natural raw materials (animal protein) in an aqueous medium with gel characteristics at ambient temperature and added stabilizing agents. Adecol® CA-9018 adhesive features an excellent instant grip, coupled with the fact that it is applied hot with rapid gelatinization when cooling, fast fixation, and a medium- to short-open time, allowing operations at high speeds and not generating stresses during drying.

Product Characteristics

The ADECOL® CA-9018 adhesive features an excellent instant grip, coupled with the fact that it is applied hot with rapid gelatinization when cooling, fast fixation and medium/short open time, allowing operations at high speeds and not generating stresses during drying. Depending on the applicator equipment and substrate characteristics, the viscosity can be adjusted and diluted accordingly.

Typical Applications

This adhesive was developed especially for automatic equipment in the graphic industry, for making hard covers in paper bonding with card paper, forming rigid boxes, obtaining excellent performance in medium and high speed equipment.

Substrates

Hard covers of card paper and rigid boxes

Application Instructions

Surfaces should be free dust, grease or oil, the application temperature range should be checked at each specific step according to the following factors: Characteristics of substrates, equipment, speed, quantity adhesive and ambient temperature. Because it is an animal protein it is recommended not to subject it to a temperature above 70°C which will cause degradation.
