WS-8072 Class B
1 of 264 products in this brandWS-8072 Class B is a non-chromate corrosion inhibitive, light weight, fast curing polysulfide sealant. Two-part manganese cured polysulfide system with eco-friendly profile provides an effective barrier against the common causes of corrosion on aluminum and between dissimilar metals. AC-8072 B retains excellent performance characteristics at temperature excursions up to 360°F. Typical applications include sealing of fay surfaces of mating parts of aircraft structure to prevent corrosion and channeling leakage. WS-8072 Class B has outstanding retention of physical properties when exposed to aviation fuel and oils. It is a thixotropic paste with non-sag characteristics an able to be applied by an extrusion gun or with a spatula.

Clean the surface of substrates with appropriated cleaning solutions per specification(s) using an OEM approved lint-free cloth to remove dirt, grease, and processing oils just before the application of the sealant. Pour solvent onto the cloth to avoid contamination of solvent supply. Clean in small areas at a time. Wipe with a second dry cloth after each application to prevent redeposition of the contaminants on the surface. Repeat at least three times or more if required. Use fresh a fresh wiping cloth every time. Substrate composition and surface characteristics can greatly vary, which can affect sealant adhesion. It is recommended to determine adhesion characteristics of specific substrates prior to application of the sealant to get consistency.
