Application Instructions

Surface preparation

  • All surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from frost, grease, and loose materials.
  • When cleaning contaminated substrates, HS Butyl recommends using propan-2-ol (IPA) and allowing it to dry before applying the butyl tape.

Application

  • Remove the backing paper.
  • Keep the tape under tension while wrapping around the ducting to ensure a good seal.
