As a plaster/concrete bonding agent:

- Provides permanent bonds
- Better water resistance then polyvinyl acetate latexes
As a polymer modifier for hydraulic cementitious mixtures:
- Increased adhesion to most non-plastic and non-oily surfaces
- Increased flexural and tensile strengths
- Eliminates need for wet curing
