- Chemical Family:Vinyl Acetate Ethylene (VAE) Copolymer
- Compatible Substrates & Surfaces:Foils, Film
- Features:Good Hydrolysis Resistance, Good Toughness, High Viscosity, Improves Adhesion, Poor Borax Tolerance, Plasticizer Migration Resistance, Excellent Adhesion, Low VOC
Elvace® 736 is a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer that forms durable, permanently flexible polymer films. It provides excellent adhesion to packaging film and foil, resists plasticizer migration effectively, and has quick bond development times. Ideal for low-VOC adhesives, particularly in microwave packaging, it offers enhanced hydrolysis resistance compared to polyvinyl acetate homopolymers, though it has limited borax tolerance.
