KALENE® 1300 has the higher viscosity of the two KALENE® grades available and is the ideal choice for applications requiring the maximum retention of physical properties at the expense of a maximum reduction in viscosity. KALENE® 1300 is the preferred liquid butyl rubber for adhesive applications and a reactive additive to ordinary butyl rubber. Elvace® 40713-00 is a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer characterized by low initial viscosity, high water resistance, and excellent filler and pigment acceptance. It forms durable, flexible polymer films with superior adhesion to packaging film and foil. With effective viscosity build upon plasticizer addition, it is ideal for general-purpose or specialty adhesives requiring low VOC content. This copolymer is recommended for microwave packaging adhesive formulations.

This PVOH-stabilized product is free from APEO surfactants and features high solids content. KALAR® 5277 is a partially cross-linked butyl rubber compound pelletized for easy handling. KALAR® products feature all the performance attributes expected of butyl rubber. KALAR® 5277 is amber in color and is among the tightest cross-linked butyl rubbers of the KALAR® products. It is designed as the starting point for applications that require the maximum resistance to creep and slump.
