Optilene is a sterile non-absorbable, uncoated monofilament surgical suture offered in blue for better visibilty. Optilene is used in Cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, opthalmology, microsurgery and general soft tissue approximation. Sizes range from USP 10/0 to USP 2. Optilene has serveral advantages, including superior smoothness and smaller tissue drag than polypropylene sutures, controlled knot run-down and proven reliable tensile strength, lower memory efferct than the market standard and high thread "pig-talling" resistance, and improved visibility for visual comfort.
