Equipment Features
Product Attributes
  • The Check-Valve Manifold System is designed to bolt onto Cyclone pump cart wand assemblies without modifications, and the existing hoses and hose fittings attach into the adhesive ports as done with conventional adhesive manifolds.
  • The system uses check valves located in the base of the check-valve static mix tip, as adhesive is dispensed the material flow creates pressure in the system which opens the check valves and allows flow like a conventional manifold/static mixer system.
  • Once flow is stopped, the spring-loaded valves snap closed, which stops foaming adhesive from back flowing into the manifold outlet.
  • At this stage, the check-valve mix tip can remain attached to the proprietary manifold for minutes, hours, days or even weeks without risk of clogging the manifold under normal conditions.
  • Periodic ratio flow check should be conducted to ensure the equipment is functioning properly. Once adhesive application is planned to resume, the used mixer can be removed and replaced with a new mixer.
  • Minimal maintenance is required with the new proprietary check- valve manifold assembly. As mixers are changed out, the manifold outlets should be wiped clean and treated with a silicone type spray or oil-based lubricant prior to attaching a new check-valve mix tip.
  • Grease zirks have been added to the manifold design but are not required to be used under normal application conditions.
Product Features
  • Built-In Check Valves in Static Mix Tips - Eliminates clogs in the adhesive manifold
  • Closed System Design - Prevents mixed adhesive from backing up into manifold outlet ports
  • Check Valve System - Minimal maintenance required
  • Easy Bolt-On Design - No modification needed to wand assembly

Applications & Uses

Procedure to Extend Check-valve Static Mix Tip Life During Use
  • During adhesive application, there can be short delays experienced with starting and stopping when applying adhesive materials.
  • During the stops the adhesive continues to foam and react within the static mixer.
  • Under normal conditions, you typically have 4-8 minutes depending on temperature before the mixer and / or manifold becomes clogged and unusable.
  • With our Check-Valve Manifold System, the check valves prevent back flow into the manifold.
  • To extend the life of the mixer during use, a short 1⁄2 second purge of polyol only (Part 2) can be dispensed by quickly opening and closing the Part 2 ball valve.
  • The polyol will push the mixed material out and extend the open time of the product within the static mixer.
  • Care must be taken not to over purge the polyol component. Over purging can cause damage to the hoses and / or equipment. Only a 1⁄2 second purge is needed.
