Application Instructions

Surface preparation

  • All surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from frost, grease, and loose materials.
  • When cleaning contaminated substrates, HS Butyl recommends using propan-2-ol (IPA) and allowing it to dry before applying the butyl tape.

Application

  • Remove the backing paper and press the exposed butyl onto the substrate.
  • Press firmly into place.
  • Use a roller with firm pressure to roll the joint and ensure a good bond.
