HS Butyl 0361 is a high-performance butyl available as a tape or in drums for versatile applications. It is used for sealing joints where the tape will be in contact with potable water and bonding and sealing water shedders to car doors. The product offers excellent adhesion to multiple substrates, is conformable, easy to use, and has good resistance to raw sewage.

Surface preparation:

  • All surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from frost, grease, and loose materials.
  • When cleaning contaminated substrates, HS Butyl recommends using propan-2-ol (IPA) and allowing it to dry before applying the butyl tape.

Application:

  • Apply directly from the reel onto one surface and press along its entire length to ensure good initial adhesion.
  • Remove the backing paper, position the other surface onto the tape, and push firmly to seal across the joint.
Product Application
  • For sealing joints where the tape will be in contact with potable water (see also the technical data sheet for 0361 Water Tank Sealing Strip).
  • For bonding and sealing watershedders to car doors.

HS Butyl 0361 is normally supplied as an extruded strip on a siliconised release paper. A wide range of dimensions can be supplied. HS Butyl 0361 dimensions will determine the number of rolls per carton.
