Dafilon is a non-absorbable, uncoated synthetic monofilament suture; available in three colors, black, blue or undyed.
Dafilon blue and Dafilon undyed are indicated for the closure of superficial wounds and plastic surgery.
Dafilon black is used for microsurgical and ophthalmic purposes.
Sizes range from USP 11/0 to USP 2.
Dafilon has several advantages, inlcuding flexbile, easy to handle and good tie to knot. It also has excellent histocompatibility and provides smooth passage through tissue.
