Adecol® CA-9020 adhesive is made from natural raw materials (animal protein) in an aqueous medium with gel characteristics at ambient temperature and added stabilizing agents. Adecol® CA-9020 adhesive features excellent instant grip, coupled with the fact that it is applied hot and undergoes rapid gelatinization when cooling, fast fixation, and a short open time, allowing operations at high speeds and not generating stresses during drying.

Product Characteristics

The ADECOL® CA-9020 adhesive features an excellent instant grip, coupled with the fact that it is applied hot with rapid gelatinization when cooling, fast fixation and short open time, allowing operations at high speeds and not generating stresses during drying. Depending on the applicator equipment and substrate characteristics, the viscosity can be adjusted and diluted accordingly.

Applications & Uses

Compatible Substrates & Surfaces
Typical Applications

This adhesive was developed especially for automatic equipment in the graphic industry, for application on spine (head) and hard cover for making diaries, notebooks, books and/or similar, obtaining excellent performance in high speed equipment.

Substrates

Spine (head) and hard cover of diaries, notebooks, books and similar.

Application Instructions

Surfaces should be free dust, grease or oil, the application temperature range should be checked at each specific step according to the following factors: Characteristics of substrates, equipment, speed, quantity adhesive and ambient temperature. Because it is an animal protein it is recommended not to subject it to a temperature above 70°C which will cause degradation.
