Surface Preparation:
Substrates must be prepared according to instructions for the preparation of synthetic playing surfaces according to the type of use foreseen, and according to current regulations and standards.
Mixing:
The two components which make up TURF FIX 550 are contained in pre-dosed plastic containers. Part A:B in 10:1 ratio by weight. Mixing must be carried out using a low speed mechanical mixer, until a smooth paste with a uniform color is obtained. The setting time and pot life of the product depend on the ambient temperature at the time of application.
Spreading:
Spread TURF FIX 550 on the jointing strips, spread the adhesive evenly over the entire surface of the jointing strips. The maximum open time of the product is approximately 45-60 minutes under normal temperature conditions.
Sheet Fixing:
The sheets must be fixed along the jointing strips within 45-60 minutes of application of TURF FIX 550 at +23°C, while it is still fresh, to guarantee full contact. It is recommended to place weights along the joints to avoid irregularities in flatness.
- Product Applications
-
TURF FIX 550 is recommended for bonding of synthetic grass sheets/tiles and rubber sheets/tiles for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Note: It is not recommended to use TURF FIX 550 at temperature less than 0°C. When the application temperatures are greater than 35°C, the pot life of TURF FIX 550 may be greatly reduced.

Storage & Handling
- Storage Conditions
-
- 12 months from date of manufacturing in original unopened containers.
- Store product (10°C to 30°C) for maximum storage life.
- Higher temperatures reduce normal storage life.
- Must be stored in closed airtight containers, as the product reacts with moisture, leading to an increase in viscosity and finally gelation.
- Rotate stock on a “first in-first out” basis.
- Shelf Life
-
12 months
